Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Measure and examine parts produced off the machines in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications. Load materials onto machines. Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment and alert the Machinist in order to diagnose machine malfunctions. Replace and re-grind cutting tools as necessary. Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency. Clean out chips and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter. Confer with the Machinist in order to exchange technical information. Read and interpret specifications on part prints. Enter data into the ERP and Quality systems. Other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
